I am utterly thrilled to have been chosen by Entrepreneur.com as one of their featured artisans for their 2012 Indie Merchants Holiday Gift Guide. Entrepreneur does so much to support and supply information and resources to small businesses, and it’s wonderful they include indie and handmade artisans as well.
The call for submissions said, “Please tell us in 250 words or less the story behind the item: the reason you decided to create it; why it’s absolutely unique; why it’s different than anything you’d find in a mass-market space; whom it’s suitable for; and what customers say when they buy it..” Tall order! I don’t know how many people applied but a team of judges chose the semi-finalists. How cool is that?
I think what was especially nice about this article was the editor’s own comment: “We dig the wearable art and like how these scarves (sold in limited editions) have few replicas.”
Shown here: my Black Pima Agapanthus Long Scarf.
